Theme: The Silk Road—an Eternal Path for Cultural Exchange between the East and West

World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) Summit in Paris will be held in Paris in March of 2014, this summit will bring together about 200 people including political celebrities, world-renowned scholars and heads of international organizations and business leaders to have sessions for 2days. The basic procedures are opening ceremony, plenary session, parallel sessions, high-class dialogue and closing ceremonies. 

The Silk Road spread across Eurasian continent, served as an important traffic trunk lines in the history of Chinese and western trade, it has made great contribution to the communication between eastern and western civilizations. Next year is 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, World Cultural Forum summit in Paris in 2014 will grab this important historical opportunity, take “The Silk Road—an Eternal Path for Cultural Exchange between the East and West” as its theme, have an in-depth discussions around topics “the silk road and material cultural exchanges”, “the silk road and spiritual cultural exchanges” and “culture exchanges between China and France since the 16th century. While carrying forward traditional Chinese culture overseas, building bridge between east and west for sinology research, hopefully this summit will further promote the sino-foreign cultural exchanges and contribute to world peace and development.
